A Prayer of Gratitdue

Lord, I want to take some time to thank You in this moment. Through the duration of this crazy year, I feel as though I have not shown my gratitude nearly enough. You’ve opened doors I didn’t know were there, moved mountains that stood in my way, and have given me hope when I’ve felt hopeless.

Oh Lord, it is true that there are evil things going on in this world. Our country is at war with itself. Our people have forsaken one another in bitterness and anger, there are children who have suffered at the hands of cruel people, and countless other heartbreaking occurrences. But You, Lord, are mighty, loving, and will serve justice. I thank you for that. I praise you amidst the heartache and the storm because I know that You are God. Your plan is one that I cannot fathom at this moment, but I know that You will redeem this world. Thank you, Lord.

Thank you for the family, friends, and mentors. It brings me joy to know that I have people to confide in, trust, and love. I’m also grateful for those who can be difficult to deal with. They too, are Your children that You love so dearly. Thank You for giving me the opportunity to show them Your sweet grace and unending love.

And finally, thank You for salvation through Jesus Christ. I am so blessed to walk through life knowing that I will one day be with You. Knowing that I’m never alone is the greatest comfort. Thank You for restoring and rebuilding my life for Your glory.

I will praise, thank, and trust You through it all.
